Poem of the Day #14

Piercing Process, by Jeordie

I sit on the cold blue chair
The strong scent of chemicals lingering in the air
The distant whir of tattoo guns echoing in my head
My heart pounding, my palms sweaty
A deep breath accompanied by a short, temporary sting
The healing battle is not quite won
Salt water, clammy air
My piercing clad friend was always there
Their healing experience they will share
Weeks past, it was almost there
The piercing healed, you were always there
Now as I lay in bed, no bad memories in my head
