Lockdown Thoughts, by Jess

Although things seem really tough right now, things are going to get better. We don’t know when, but things will become normal again. It's hard as a young person to understand what’s happening, constantly hearing different things everyday, and it’s scary, it’s really scary but someday everything will be back to normal. All we need to do is stick together and stay positive. Together we can win this fight, although it might seem all bad it’s not. I’m only 14 so it’s been hard for me to cope with everything going on but some positive outcomes of this is that I have become closer with my family. Spending time with them all and reassuring my younger sibling that it’s okay. Trying to keep normality by doing home schooling. It’s been really nice to see everyone pull together and support each and every person in the world. Even though we aren’t allow to see key workers they still offer support over the phone and it really helps people understand and gives them reassurance.

More and more people are becoming infected by this awful virus each day and nothing can be done. People are been left alone not able to see family. However, better days are to come. The government are working really hard to be able to cure the virus and turn everything back to normal. As soon as it can be the smallest things we take for granted will be appreciated such as school, work and travel no one can put a date on when things will be completely normal, but if we stick together it won’t be long. Stay positive and keep smiling because your not alone and never will
