Reflections on 2020 and lockdown 3, By Ryan

2020 was finally over and life was looking a bit brighter. We survived the darkest time of our lives and we thought everything would start going back to normal. But again, our positive mind set crumbled when it was announced that on the 6th January, the UK would go back into full national lockdown. I felt like we was back at square one. When will this end and when will I be able to see my love ones again. All of a sudden, it was the 5th January, the last day of my freedom before being isolated from the world. I can remember going out in the car and seeing the panic on peoples face when the shop keepers shut the door for the last time, wondering if it would ever open again. I can remember the clock striking 12.01am it was time for Lockdown number 3! One thing Iā€™m going to take away from the last year is never take things for granted, because once they have gone you will miss them. Always remember that it might be dark now but there will be lighter days. Keep in contact with the people you love or give your friend a text to see how they are. You never know, that text might change their life! That contact might have been something they needed to keep themselves going. Keep smiling, because you are not alone.
